NP Weekly
I'm a day late due to the recent technical issues. My apologies.
This week's feature is a well-made flash presentation demonstrating alternative texture packs for Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
This week's feature is a Nintendo advertisement filmed in Hong Kong (although admittedly it is getting old now, so half of you may have seen it already).
Aside from it having an awesome ending, the time and effort spent on producing it must have added up quite a lot, because it features some fairly decent special effects.
On the subject of YouTube videos in general, for those who don't already know, you can add &fmt=18 to the end of a video's URL to force the sound into stereo output (and, for more recent videos, improve picture quality). Try it.

So, here is the first installment of NintendoPortal Weekly.
Every Saturday (hopefully), I will post here an item related to Nintendo or any of its franchises. It may range between anything from Mario, to the biggest names in the company, to how many N64 games I sucked at.
Today, I bring you a pretty awesome Newgrounds submission of a flash animation where Shigeru Miyamoto takes a short but funky trip into the world of Mario.
Welcome to the new and permanant version of Nintendo Portal, E107. This great new system enables us to have much better forums and dynamic page content as well as easy customisation. We really hope our guests and members will enjoy it.
We are very lucky to have Richard Mann working with us who has past experience in customising E107, producing a nice new NP skin for us. Also, Matthew Ellis has done a lot of back-end server work to get this up and running, thanks Matt. Our staffing for NP will be drawn up soon, but all current staff still hold their positions.
We are working on content but the forums are fully functional (and I've even posted replies to ALL messages). The Nintendo Portal TV Series for 2008 is still running and can be currently viewed from its YouTube Playlist.
Thanks people, Adam Wright (popmanw) - Co-Owner of Nintendo Portal and content coder Matthew Ellis (snat) - Co-Owner of Nintendo Portal and server manager Richard Mann (ricko97) - E107 Customiser and content coder
